MiCO: Migratory Connectivity in the Ocean Twitter

What we’re working on

The consortium of research partners in MiCO are co-developing a tool to visualize how marine migratory species use and connect the oceans. A prototype of the tool was launched at the November 2018 meeting of the Convention on Biological Diversity in Sharm-el-Sheik, Egypt. As a first step in the process of developing the prototype, our team created a demonstration of possible options to visualize area-use and connectivity. We envision a hierarchical tool that will allow users to move from abstract network connectivity diagrams to more detailed maps of area-use. Check out the demo and stay tuned for the prototype!
