Personal data, or personal information, means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified.
We do require you to submit contact information when downloading MiCO products and summary reports. This process does not involve account creation. MiCO.eco requires personal information for data contributions
MiCO collects, uses and stores the following kinds of personal data from our scientific data contributors:
- Identity Data: first name, last name, salutation, and username or similar identifier.
- Contact Data: email address and institutional/organizational affiliation
- Profile Data: includes your username and password, records of the datasets you own, and responses to requests for your datasets.
These are collected to provide attribution to the data used to develop MiCO aggregated data products (see the terms of reference for details).
Contributors may edit and change personal data at any time. Contributor full name and affiliation are displayed to the public. Data are stored indefinitely, but can be removed from the system upon request (contact data@mico.eco).
